Sheik's updated design was created for Brawl to represent the Twilight Princess version of Zelda. Sheik's playstyle is largely similar to how it was in Melee , though she now has a Final Smash , Light Arrow , that she shares with Zelda. However, her KO potential has been severely weakened, while her endurance has also worsened. As a result, Sheik is currently ranked 25th out of 38 on the tier list, which renders her as a mid-tier character.
Sheik has a trophy that is awarded each time Classic Mode is completed with Sheik on any difficulty. Sheik The persona Zelda adopted to escape from Ganondorf. She completely hid all traces of her Zelda identity and appeared to Link as the last member of the Sheikah tribe. She taught Link essential ocarina melodies and then vanished in an instant. She didn't appear very often--rather, she would show up to support Link in crucial situations. Sheik returns as a playable character in Super Smash Bros.
Although she has retained her Twilight Princess design, her overall color scheme is now more vibrant because of SSB4 's aesthetics. By extension, she now has an alternate costume that features the color scheme of her attire in Ocarina of Time. Unlike in previous installments, Sheik is now a standalone character, like Zero Suit Samus and Charizard. She has also gained two new special moves, one of which compensates for her independence from Zelda: Burst Grenade replaces Chain and also results in her side taunt being modified , and Bouncing Fish replaces Transform.
Sheik has been buffed significantly in the transition from Brawl to SSB4 , thanks to many of her attacks being partially reverted to how they functioned in Melee , or updated outright. Unlike in Melee , she now has a noticeably better neutral game and recovery.
Her neutral game benefits from Needle Storm 's faster travel speed and increased knockback, as well as her faster walking , dashing , and air speeds. In comparison, Sheik's recovery benefits from her much faster airspeed, Bouncing Fish's ability to function as a horizontal recovery option, and the removal of edge-hogging.
Outside of these changes, Sheik still boasts unarguably the best frame data among the cast, which results in her retaining an excellent combo game, and makes her exceedingly difficult to punish. However, Sheik retains a low overall damage output, mediocre smash attacks, unimpressive endurance, a lack of reliable KO setups at high percentages, and only a handful of KOing options sweet spotted up smash, up aerial, Vanish 's disappearing hitbox, and Bouncing Fish.
In addition, game updates heavily nerfed some of Sheik's most viable options, such as weakening her forward aerial, hindering her forward and down throws' combo potentials at high percentages, and decreasing Needle Storm's range. Overall, Sheik's strengths largely outweigh her weaknesses, and she has achieved great tournament representation and results as a result.
To reflect this, Sheik is currently ranked 4th out of 55 on the tier list, and she has maintained her status as a top-tier character throughout SSB4 's lifespan like in Melee. A Sheik Mask is available as headgear for all Mii Fighter types.
Sheik returns as a standalone character in Super Smash Bros. Unlike her previous appearances, Sheik is now an unlockable character instead of a starter character. Once Link frees himself, he fights through the ranks of the Gerudo , before Sheik comes to him with his Sword and Shield. Throwing them to Link , Sheik attacks the invisible Twinrova , who were watching nearby. They accuse Sheik of being a traitor. Sheik is knocked unconscious after rebuking the accusation. After escaping with the unconscious Sheik , Link finds a cave to rest in.
He leaves to find water, flustered after getting too close to Sheik. He returns to find that Sheik , having awoken with the face wrappings off, appears to be a woman. Fully transforming, Sheik is revealed to be Princess Zelda , who later explains that she had Impa lock her consciousness away and assume the disguise of a Sheikah boy. Zelda has the option of transforming into Sheik by pressing down the Stick while holding the B Button.
Sheik has a completely different moveset than Zelda that are not based on magic, as her moves and weapons are quick and similar to those of a ninja. Sheik appears again in Super Smash Bros. Although she did not appear in Twilight Princess , the character model was based on a design drafted during the game's development.
She has mostly the same moveset from Super Smash Bros. In addition, Sheik can now crawl , wall jump , and use her Chain move as a tether recovery. Although he orders them to stay put, Zelda transforms into Sheik to escape along with Peach to the battleship's front deck. Eventually, they reach their destination when suddenly Fox in his Arwing destroys one of the airship's turrets, shooting near where Peach was walking.
Thinking that Fox was aiming at Peach, Sheik teleports onto Fox's Arwing and, using her hand, shatters the cockpit window.
This forces Fox to eject out of the Arwing and land on the battleship's front deck along with Sheik. Although the two begin to fight, Peach stops them by offering a cup of tea to Fox.
Confused at first, Fox looks over to see that Sheik has already begun drinking the tea, thus realizing that Sheik and Peach are not his enemies as he accepts Peach's offer and joins them. Sheik playing the Goddess's Harp from Hyrule Warriors. Sheik appears as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors. She appears in the story when Zelda goes missing. Unlike her previous incarnations, Sheik does not go to great lengths to hide her feminine physique. Sheik uses a Harp as her primary weapon, with which she plays the " Song of Storms " along with the other Songs for Warping from Ocarina of Time.
As Sheik performs combo attacks, an elemental Song note will appear beneath her Special Attack Gauge. The notes allows Sheik to perform different charge attacks based on the element. The " Nocturne of Shadows " produces a field of Darkness that paralyzes enemies and damages them.
The " Serenade of Water " surrounds Sheik in a shield of Bottled Water that can absorb up to four Hearts worth of damage. The " Song of Storms " produces an electric whirlwind that surrounds Sheik even while moving. The " Bolero of Fire " creates a delayed flame geyser detonation. When deactivating it in front of a group of enemies, sprouts grow from the ground and suddenly burst into Trees. Sheik 's Special Attack has her strum her Harp in rhythm, causing a huge wave of notes on surrounding enemies.
She also uses a kunai for basic, quick attacks. Sheik is later revealed to be Zelda in disguise during " The Water Temple ". From this point in the game, Sheik and Zelda both become options for Scenarios. Sheik returns in Super Smash Bros. Due to this, several new special moves exclusive to the Super Smash Bros. In Super Smash Bros. Sheik also appears as a Fighter Spirit that can be obtained by either clearing " Masquerade ", Sheik 's Classic Mode Route, or by purchasing it from the Shop for G Zelda Wiki.
